Arguably the iPhone is the best mobile phone to appear on the market. Here we will look at just one of the many features that we hope can justify that statement, and that is the touch sensitive display screen. The first thing you notice about the iPhone is its marvellous touch screen. It is a full 9cm in length and it has 480 by 320 pixels. It is a full 18 bit display, and so has 262,144 colours. The surface is scratch resistant glass which also has an oleophobic coating which means that it does not show up fingerprints, but many users protect the screen and the rest of the phone with a transparent screen protector and a shell. Such is the quality of these that the dimensions of the phone are hardly increased and if anything the appearance of the phone is enhanced. The touch screen uses capacitive technology and is sensitive to multiple fingers or just one. The only problem is that on cold days you need to remove your gloves before using it as it does not seem to be sensitive to them – it needs to sense flesh. There are a number of sensors that control the way the screen operates. One of them is a proximity sensor that switches off the screen when it is brought up to the face to make a call. There is a sensor that adjusts the brightness of the screen depending on the ambient light and there is an accelerometer that causes the screen to switch from portrait to landscape viewing modes appropriately as the phone is rotated. Altogether the iPhone screen is an example of the best that are available anywhere, but what makes this phone so immense is what you can use the screen for. You can watch TV, display still images and videos, watch movies in wide screen format, and surf the web. Google Maps works wonderfully with the browser and with the built-in GPS sensor you will be able to navigate yourself around any town or city. We have just skirted round the edge of the many features offered by this amazing piece of kit, but we hope that we have at least whetted your appetite. iPhone Breakdown
Saturday, March 27th, 2010Protection from physical damage
Thursday, October 22nd, 2009When we buy something new, we take care of that thing regularly, But after some time, it’s become a part of our lives, and we can treat it a little haphazardly. But when any accidents happen, then it comes to us, and we think we should have been using it more carefully. The most important and exposed thing on an iPhone is its display, which is huge. Since it is so large, we should really take this into account, and be as careful as we can with them Although we enjoy a lot because of the screen specifically, we should make sure that we do our part to keep it functioning. You should even consider the safety of your device when it is in your pocket, as it is vulnerable place for the iPhone to be damaged.
For its protection, we should adopt some measures. The first option is to get a good and solid silicon casing for your iPhone, which can give a good cushion in case of any accident. And always apply the casing after using it. Never leave it without the casing; because it increases the chances of an accident, and it uses its battery as well. Some iPhones these days consume very little amount of battery while in the casing. So, casing will not only save your iphone from any physical incident, but also saves battery for you for your future use. Secondly, keep it away from the children. Thirdly, never leave it on the corner of a table. Obviously, it may fall to the ground, cracking the screen. If you neglect these common practices, you’ll be surprised to discover how quickly your iPhone deteriorates.
